This is one of my choice cos I'll get married on late January.....too cold for Europe at that time.....
If I'd like to see natural scenery, (glacier, hot spring, etc.) where should I go to NZ? Is it easy to drive my ourselves there?? How much is hotel per day? |

阿蓮,
Yes it's much more easier to drive in New Zealand than in HK, much fewer vehicles and roads are wider.... If you want to see natural scenery, I recommend u to go to South Island, because NZ is "More South, More Natural", where the places closer to Antartica...Queenstown & Christchurch are the best choices! For Hotels, depends on which level you want, but normally most of the hotels cost in a high rate. |

HI there,
I am living in Christchurch of New Zealand,.... Fun about south island... m... not much really... you may better off going to North Island... drive from Auckland down to wellington.... for south island, you will have some chance to see some snow if you come during the winter time (june til october) aslo queenstown is a very lovely place... you may wanna go to Dunidan... which is the 2nd larger city in south island... Also another thing i wish to say if anyone planning to drive in NewZealand, there are some give way rule different to Hong Kong or Australia... better make a note on that before... if anyone have question about Christchurch, or Adelaide of South Australia, i will be more than happy to help... ![]() |

Hello hana;
14 days is more than enough i think... when i first come to NZ in 1997, my family only spent 6-7 days to finish the route... (we finish off in christchurch...) that route is the best way to discover NZ.. make sure you have a good sleep before driving.... coz you will be spending most the time driving in the hill specially from picton to christchurch (south island)... ![]() ![]() so... if anyone have any more question.... can email me sampson.wong@hotmail.com i am a tourism student,, hope i can help... also as i mention b4, there are lot of people didn't know about the NZ's Stupid giveway rules which is diff to HK or other country.. If you are turning left, give way to vehicles coming towards you that are turning right. ![]() If you are turning right, give way to vehicles coming towards you unless they are turning left. ![]() |
