    thanks!

i have friends who live in new zealand, he said 自由行 is very ok, but it is a bit danagerous to rent ur car. He mention north island is more city like and south island with a lot wonderful natural environment. I would spend more time in south island. esp Queensland Laughing

    Hi, allies,

My honeymonth holiday will also be at NZ, end of Oct this year. I will go there by my own, not joining group tour. As bebu said, southern island kills me, where there are many lovely natural places. Rent a car is for sure getting arround especially country area. Here is web-site for you guy if you drive over there,

    http://www.aatravel.co.nz/new-zealand/Arthurs-Pass_Attractions.html

I also get headache to my planning as there are so many places for my selection. Here are my speicals for your thought, Milford, Mount Cook, Wanaka, Queentown country, etc...

About wine, most of the vineyards locate at Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and Marlborough region, try ice-wine definitely. Farm!! I guess talking about sheep shearing, please look at those farms at the Rangitikei district of the Northe Island.

Air ticket, definitely NZ Air! They have direct flight from HK to Auckland. Quantas Air also has flight, but you have to transit at Sydney. I won't book any package (hotel plus air) coz there might be some changes of my itinerary, who knows what I am dealing with all in sudden. Don't bound your tirp too tight. Internet will be helpful for advance booking.

Something don't miss are those exciting activities. My finacee would play parachuting, how mad she is!!

    Cheers,

    big john,

    請問你所講既vineyard/ice-wine在邊樹?

Smile

    Hi, Skysky,

Most of the vineyards locate at Marlborough region, North-east of South Island. Marlborough region is the largest wine making area in NZ. Ice wine is not the best in NZ, but, most probably, is the cheapest in the world. German or Frenchs' wines cost you HK$400 above. Some people may not like the taste for too sweat.

Let me check some package given by travel agent. I will go for NZ end of Oct. I am not hurry to get it.

$170 is reasonable if the thickness of the book is more than 3cm or fill with colour photo. Of course, books talking about NZ are always missed in the shelf. Fortunely, my friend just got back from there, he collected a mountain of information for me. I have to take a god ***ed month to read them all.

I plan a 13-14 days trip and what about you and when? It seems that we have a same cup of tea, Very Happy. I won't spend too much time in North Island, maybe 3-4 days, Auckland, Rotoura, Taupo and Wellington at last. At the South, it will be Chirstchurch, Mt. Cook, Wanaka, Queentown and Milford Sound. It is only a rough itinerary. I will be driving, this route is flexible. Will you drive?

The main issue should be sleeping. Internet booking may cost higher a bit, but more secure at the peak season. But I am used to book accommodation at the tourist center when I arrive. They always have something surprise.

    Cheers,
