Any Comment of Resort in Maldives??

Dear All,

I am planning to Maldives for 5 nights (about 7-8 days trip included air & transport) with my wife on about middle of May, and intend to book Water Villa.

My lady want to see & swim with many big fishes, turtles, 魔鬼魚, baby sharks ...etc
As we have no diving cert., but we had scuba diving in Australia some years ago, and we want to have 1-2 times scuba dive in Maldives trip.

I have study & consider below resort.

1. One&Only - Kanuhura
2. One&Only - Reethi Rah
3. Kani Club Med
4. White Sand Resort

Can someone advise for me?

I think all resort in Maldives will have the fishes you wanna see... just if you lucky to see them.... the resort i stay... i saw baby sharks, baby turtles, and manta rays... and we went out fishing and caught big fishes too.... and there's dophin tour trip to join (but we didnt) can also learn and get the dive cert on island. I'm sure all resort there will have the same thing since that's the 'must do' thing there.. or else you have nothing much to do Laughing

For resort, from the list will choose One & Only Reethi Rah! haha but this resort very expensive! i wanna go this one too... but finally we choose Huvafen Fushi... One & Only resorts are very nice and good services...

Actually, "O&O RR" is really expensive but new resort.
In fact, I also consider "O&O Kanuhura" in "Lhaviyani Atoll" because it is far away from "Male" & by sea plane. We want to see the big fishes even non-diving time in the Water-Villa room. I think the sea may be clearer than the resorts in "North & South Male' Atoll"
Then "WS" is another choice, but I heard that a lot of PRC tours visit "WS", and my lady have a little bit unpleasantness with PRC...

And, now I am checking with SUN n SEA for O&O rates, and Clud Med for Kani. We may choose "O&O Kanuhura"...

As you said that you saw baby sharks, baby turtles, and manta rays... , do you mean scuba dive or just saw them in the Huvafen Fushi Resort?? If we can see them on non-dive moment, then we may change our idea & follow your choice -- Huvafen Fushi la!!

Yes I heard WS has alot ppl, not only PRC... bigger island hold more ppl = more ppl around you... Which I want to be quite....
Yes all those are none diving! we saw baby sharks just walk by the bridge when going back to our villa.... and those baby turtles.... they feed them actaully haahaa, they have a little pool keeping them there... you can even touch them..... manta rays... they are wild.. but they feed them everyday at 630pm... so i guess the fish knows the time too.. they'll come at the time we feed.....

I've been Club Med Kani before. I think it is not as luxury as other resorts but on the other hand, it's package covers all the drinks and food. So quite a good deal.

I also stayed in water villa / bungalow last time. But since they have other beach houses, so make sure you book the right one.
