Anyone planning to go New Zealand for honeymoon?

i am also thinking of going to NZ for honeymoon, thanks for your information

my big date was same as yours, 16/12
although it was the peak season
but we planned to go there after wedding since we can request less anual leave ma Wink

luckily we can drive, but my bf afraid that it would be quite tiring

if i really go there in X'mas, when do you think we should reserve the hotel/motel ? we don't afraid of everything except that we have no where to stay

Wah, it is really great for you can drive!
We want to have a more relaxing honeymoon and try the hiking trip. So, we are still searching information. The more desirable tour for us is to employ a small car with driver! Then, we can totally relax and tailor-made our tour.

esd wedding was the first site i visited after determining to go to NZ
so, i did not plan for anything yet
so happy to know you ar Razz

although we can drive, and many of our friends told us that NZ was a easy place for driver
but we, especially my bf want a relaxing and carefree trip, he even ask for joining a tour because he don't want to plan everything Sad

of course, i think it would be a waste
if it is possible to hire a car with driver, that would be perfect wor

Our honeymoon may be postponed to Lunar New YEar lu. I hope there will be fewer people to compete for rooms la.

How many days will you stay? Most probably, i will stay for 15 days and spend more time in South Island.

i will stay for 14 days. same as you, i'm a bit worry about the accomodation. early booking may ruin the flexibility. late booking may not be succeed. btw, what did you plan for the journey?

if you come here on 16/12, hotel/ motel shouldnt be a problem, trust me, there are more motel than you can think of in NZ, you may book the hotel one or two week before. apart from the christmas holiday (24-26/12), i am sure walk in shouldnt be a problem.

Hi. Miucham

For the accomodation in NZ, if you prefer stay in Hotel , I'll suggest you book first. Or you can choose to stay in Motel, which is much cheaper & no need for early booking.

Thanks for your advice. i just want the accomodation should be clean and tidy, either motel or hotel would be fine. of course the price would be my major concern.

do you think the price would be very different from early booking and walk-in?

Sampson, do you mean that i should book 24-26/12 1-2 weeks before, other than that, walk-in would be fine?
