jello jowee, sorry i haven't this forum for some time and just read your message. we booked conrad's hennessy room for our wedding and the minimum charge was $38,000 + 10% for food + beverage. the following was our menu and end up we had about 75 guests. at first we thought the tempura station would be quite interesting, but end up some guests didn't know about the tempura station at all (since it's in the corner). i must say the tempura prawns and vegetables were very delicious, but the station is not really a must. both my husband and i like the hennessy room which has a night view on admiralty. we were satisfied with the service and also happy that our guests liked the food. 我都係arm arm confirm pregnant. bb about six weeks now. 好開心已經見到佢既心跳. 而家雖然身體上開始轉變, 但係未feel到bb既movement, 有d患得患失既感覺tim... 唔知你地會唔會一樣呢? 因為我有兩個朋友曾經miscarried, 所以我有少少緊張... 希望阿b會健健康康啦. :roll: 唔知幾時先會feel到bb"郁"呢?

oh yes, 我自己用屋企個oven bake咋, 每次bake 9 - 12塊, 所以都bake左好多轉... 期間仲有10幾20塊碎左tim :P

我將d cookies放在食物盒內, 多數guests都話okay, 冇"soft"到, 但有一個就話"soft"左, 可能嗰兩塊made左太耐啦... haha. 我老公要返工, 自己一個整咋, 得一對手, 所以有多一個oven都幫唔到幾多... 而且租地方我諗都幾貴架wor...

i made cookies myself for our guests at our wedding ah! since we only had around 75 guests, it's still manageable. i made 2 cookies in heart shape for each guest so in total i made around 150 pieces. took me around 3 afternoons to make all of them! i also packed them myself ah. some of the guests said they're delicious ne! happy! :D

nice to meet you all here. ceiggam, i'm not really sure of the wording, but i guess you should specify a time for the wedding ceremony to take place, e.g. 2 pm. nowadays more and more people will have the ceremony at the hotel venue and i'm sure that the card printing company will be able to give you advice on the proper wordings. i was lucky that my friend who's a partime MUA helped me do the make-up on that day. and really glad that it was really natural and what i wanted exactly. and our photographer was also a friend's friend. :D

my hubby and i just got married on may 12! we had a simple wedding with registration in the morning and dinner buffet reception at conrad. really glad that though we didn't have any rundown or programme, everything went quite smooth in the end. :D here's what we had for the day, for information and reference to anyone here planning for a simple wedding as well: btw we were already living together and we didn't have any 接新娘games. we also didn't have any bridesmaids or groomsmen. :wink: morning: 一齊返老爺奶奶家拜祖仙 1 pm: make-up for the bride 2.30 pm: 向老爺奶奶 & my parents"針"茶 3 pm: left home for registration 3.45 pm: registration at city hall 4 pm: group photo at city hall 5 pm: arrived at conrad hotel (and some guests start mahjong playing!) 5.15 pm: photo (w/ just the two of us) at hk park 6 pm: returned to conrad hotel for make-up 6.30 pm: guests started to arrive at conrad 7.15 pm: started serving buffet dinner (because we had lots of kids and didn't want them to starve) 8 pm: all guests nearly arrived and we officially opened the dinner with a short speech and toast (we didn't have any march-in or cake-cutting ceremony) 9.30 pm: guests started to leave 10.30 pm: we left too and arrived home before 11 pm! :D we must say that the food and service at conrad was really quite good. we only had 6 tables and our location was hennessy room which is quite cozy. since we didn't have too many guests, nobody needed to queue up at all. we didn't have any movie/games/lucky draw during the dinner but we did go around each table to make a toast (with just the two of us, not with our parents) and chatted with our guests. luckily no one complained that it was too boring. looking back, we think it's actually good that we started serving the buffet early and didn't wait till all guests arrived. the guests might be bored if they could only wait until the dinner was served. i had my wedding gown from afternoon onwards and changed into an evening gown during the dinner reception.
