京阪神之旅

After a week, I still missed much our five days Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe trip.

Honey and I had our first Japan trip from Jan 5-9.  I spent almost a month on doing online research and reading books.  Eventually, our trip went smoothly in all aspects: transportation, accommodation, visiting spots and dining.  Although the trip was short, it was marvelous.  Thanks Lord!

I am already looking forward to our next trip.  I don't know when to go and I have no idea where to go.  Yet, I am so eager to travel with honey :)

新年快樂 !

I am going to 'enjoy' my first new year's gift.  Honey and I will have our several 'first' next week...

our FIRST lucky draw free tickets;

our FIRST vacation trip this year (indeed, for the last 2 years);

our FIRST trial of Kobe Beef;

our FIRST time to Japan (Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe)!

倒數 1.. 2.. 3..

In just three days, 2008 will be gone.

It will be my last two working days in this year - this afternoon, tomorrow and the morning of the day after (Dec 31).

I am looking forward to the 31st.  Honey and I will have lunch buffet at the Greenery, Royal Garden.

I have few good memories at Royal Garden.  It's back to my youth (16-17 years old).  My best friend Fran's father brought us there for late afternoon drinks.  At that time, I enjoyed the atmosphere very much.  Also, Fran and I often went to their washroom whenever we browsed around TST East.

Those were the days...

Hopefully the lunch buffet will be another good piece added to my momories.

最愛又最忙的十二月

December - the month I like the most in a year.

Yet, it's usually my busiest month both at work and personal.

I have attended two seminars and organized two for colleagues to attend for collecting CPT points.

Golf event arrangement.

Christmas Lunch Party - just had it today.  As usual, there's plenty of delicious food + drinks.  Yet, the organizer - ME - spent lots of time & few trips to here and there to make orders.  Fortunately, everyone was happy, especially my boss.

In less than a week, it will be Christmas.  My family will have dinner gathering tomorrow night.  They will go to Zhong Shan during Christmas but honey and I will miss this time.

Few appointments have been planned:

I have my girls' night on the 23rd.

Honey has promised to accompany me on the Christmas Eve - simply browsed around to enjoy the lightings and atmosphere.

We will go to the church on the 25th, Christmas.  Also, I may meet Pat (from Tokyo) for a drink/chat.

Nothing planned for the 26th - 28th.  Honey said he would reserve most of the time to study.  (oh no.... sisters will be in Zhong Shan... I got to arrange something for myself...)

We will have buffet lunch on the 31st.

Most likely, honey and I will join Fran/Ken on the New Year's Eve for count-down.

oh well, 2008 is going to leave us.  It's a year full of ups and downs - honey got a new job, nai nai's cancer resumed, we 'earned' quite a lot in our MPF, nai nai got baptism and went to the Heaven, honey got promotion (then also lots of OT), we 'lost' a lot in our MPF... and overall wealth.

Yet, no matter what, honey is with me and God's Grace is more than enough for us.  Thanks Lord!

發霉了

Almost a month... I have not updated my blog.

Work-wise: due to the poor market conditions, it was a quiet month.  Frankly, my workload was lighter but I did not enjoy it.  First batch of salary reduction would begin next month...

Health-wise: suffered from nasal allergy / running nose on and off in the last two weeks.  Yet, my skin condition (eczema) has been stable and good.  Thanks Lord!

Leisure-wise: resumed social dance with honey.  In last lesson, we learned a new 花式 'sliding window' for Rumba - classy and romantic... I love it!

Family-wise: nai nai got her 'new home' on Nov 15.  It's at 聯合道, 香港華人基督教聯會墳場.

二十年後的午餐

Today, I had lunch with two high school fellows - Ima Lee & Carmen Chow.
I was never in the same class with them but we learnt Chinese Dancing together during F.1 - F.3.  (haha, our school team once won an award and performed in City Hall!)  Then, I lost contact with them.  No calls... No email... for 20 years!!!
Two weeks ago, I saw Ima on another high school fellow's profile on facebook and we were then connected.  We arranged to meet for lunch and Ima brought Carmen to join.
We three ladies talked... laughed... ohhh... I really enjoyed our short lunch :)

邀請帖

Shan's son gave me an invitation card to his photography exhibition.  Unfortunately I could not attend.  I sincerely hope everything will go smoothly and he will gain great achievement.

agnes b. Delices

I discovered a new branch of agnes b. Delices has been opened at IFC.  One counter for cakes/sandwiches & coffee and the adjacent counter for chocolates, nougats and accessories.

The cakes look very tempting.  However, I could not take any as my stomach had been fully stuck by the muffins.

Then, the tiny but elegant chocolates appeared in my eyes.  The lady there, holding a tray of few chocolates, asked me to try one.  I took a Bitter Truffle - completely forgot how full and guilty I was...

Amm... it's smooth and very "chocolate".  A bit sweet to me but honestly, that's really tasteful.

oh, what a SWEET day!

老友記午聚

Wilson was my colleague.  We met in March 1999 and worked together for one year and half.  For the past 7-8 years, we kept contact via email and sms.  We once had lunch in December 2005.  Today, we gathered for lunch.

Wilson seldom calls my name.  He calls me 'buddy' 老友記.

Wilson is smart, humorous and talkative.  He got a quite different personality from mine but strangely, we maintain a harmony friendship and both of us cherish it.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable lunch at Le Petit Paris in IFC.  Our topics were wide - job/own business, family, finance, raising children, welfare, health etc.

He highly recommended me to learn Tai Chi .  He has been learning it for three years.  Now, he goes for lessons 2-3 times a week and he practises it 2 hours daily at home.  2 HOURS DAILY!  On Sat/Sun, he practises up to 3-4 hours!  He told me it is very good for health and it trains every inch of your muscles over your body.  Ohh... as lazy as I am... I don't think I will learn it :)

Anyway, thanks 老友記 for coming over to treat me a lunch and giving me almost 2 hours laughing time!
